Our halal standard

Halal isn’t a label you stick on. It’s a chain you control.

The whole Salima Foods range is certified by AVS. This page explains exactly what that means — chick to packaging — and links to our current certificate.

  1. Why this certification

    01

    Why this certification

We chose AVS because it’s among the most rigorous bodies in the French market — its protocol covers manual ritual slaughter, the recited surah, the direction of the cut, no stunning, and a strict ban on cross-contamination with non-halal product.

  2. Dedicated abattoir, dedicated lines

    02

    Dedicated abattoir, dedicated lines

The whole process — slaughter, plucking, gutting, cutting, breading, packing — runs on lines physically separated from any non-halal production. No equipment is shared.

  3. No pork, no alcohol, no grey areas
    03

    03

No pork, no alcohol, no grey areas

No pork-derived ingredients, no alcohol (including alcohol-as-aroma-carrier), no animal rennet of unknown origin in our coatings, marinades, or cheeses. Ingredient suppliers are audited.

  4. Annual and unannounced audits

    Annual and unannounced audits

AVS audits the abattoir every year and may visit unannounced at any time. Reports are kept for 5 years and we share them with distributors on motivated request.
